Maurthew was founded by designer Emma Maurthew in 2010, who after honing her craft at VPL in New York and Alexander McQueen in London, was eager to curate a new and thoroughly relevant fashion offering for the womenswear arena.

Immensely proud of her Irish heritage and ethical values, Emma produces 50% of Maurthew in her home country ensuring affordable, beautiful, crafted luxury in every garment.

Fusing her love and skill for tailoring, luxe streetwear and embellishment, the result is a label of contemporary separates and alternative eveningwear with an edgy femininity.

Delicate structures are juxtaposed with strong contemporary silhouettes, giving way to an aesthetic that is hard and soft, powerful and preciously delicate at once.

Quality of fabric and production is at the absolute core of all Maurthew products. Materials are sourced from the world's finest luxury houses and innovative manufacturing methods of laser cutting are fused with time-honoured, hand-sewn and embellished detailing.
